We are part of the National Women's Register, a network of local groups, connecting women from all walks of life. Ruislip NWR is a very friendly group, mainly meeting in members’ homes, but there is no obligation to host, especially if you are new to the group. We have discussions, research and themed evenings, as well as walks, speakers, quizzes, days out, bowls, theatre visits, ad hoc coffee mornings and anything else we fancy. We also have a Book Group.
We've welcomed some very interesting speakers, sometimes using a local church hall and inviting partners and guests.
We've made all sorts of things (some better than others!) at member-led craft evenings.
We've welcomed several speakers into our homes, from our local MP, community support officers and we had a very enjoyable visit to our local fire station.

We visited the old operating theatre at St Thomas's Hospital
Our programmes run from April – October and October – April. Two members plan each programme, with everyone else chipping in with ideas, offers to host etc. (new members needn’t be involved until they feel ready).
